Yarn Bombing is getting everywhere, whether its Farms in Australia, streets in New Zealand or parks in Europe. It’s certainly brightening up our rural and urban spaces. This street art goes by different names, kniffiti, graffiti knitting, though the pieces in the two images are actually crochet.
I’m fascinated with this idea of doing street art with yarn, covering things with pieces of crochet to make them look fun, a little bit crazy you might say. but watch people passing them, they’re 🙂 it’s nice to make people smile. We even had an outbreak of gorilla crochet in Greystones a town in Wicklow Ireland. Bring on the Smiles.
